Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is based on the ancient principles of acupuncture.  It is a simple tapping procedure that appears to gently realign the body’s energy system, without the discomfort of needles.  The proponents of EFT explain it as being unlike other energy healing methods, as it incorporates an emotional element to the healing process, addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely cause of physical disease, psychological dysfunction and personal performance limitations.

EFT is based on the belief that negative emotional experiences can be disruptive to the energy meridians that run through our body.  The physical changes we feel from those disruptions, like nausea or anxiety, can become attached to the memory of that experience and effect the way we perceive and navigate within our world – until we heal that disruption.  When consistently and properly applied, EFT can quickly realign the energy meridians with respect to negative memories, disconnect the physical discomfort attached to it, and can remove the resulting symptoms.

Having trained in EFT Level I and Level II, I and can offer assistance in utilizing this self-help tool to enable better management of emotional and behavioral responses toward more optimum functioning and personal growth.

EFT was introduced in 1995 by Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineering graduate in lifelong pursuit of personal well-being. Please refer to www.emofree for further information.
